I had been struggling to lose weight. It felt like I had been yo-yo dieting pretty much forever. I used to think about food all the time. It’s very encouraging to have those tools in your pocket… it’s empowered me to make better choices.
Since going to see Nakul our staff member is happier at work, more engaged and contributes to the day to day running of the business. It has been an amazing change.
More coaching feedback…
I have had several experiences with Nakul and his coaching now and he just works wonders. Such a massive help to my complete well-being. He has helped me to get though stressful times and given me the tools to improve and deal with issues causing the stress in the first place. I would highly recommend Better Outcomes Now to anyone looking to make changes (big or small) to their thinking and general mental heath. I really feel I have an advantage when it comes to running my business and my life now.

Nakul’s approach toward my situation was really helpful. He opened up a channel for me to speak openly, and I felt lighter every time I left.
He’s definitely friendly, but stayed professional – this made me focus on what I was trying to achieve. He was proficient at helping me keep a state of mind where I could keep myself going until I saw him next.
I sought out Nakul for NLP coaching around performance anxiety as a professional violinist. I’ve been a performer all my life and performing as such has not been a problem for me but it’s just this particular problem that developed of my bow shaking without me being able to control it. I had experienced it on and off in the last 10 years but it started to become something I was more and more afraid of. So the fear was compounding, and I absolutely understood that fear was the problem because 99% of the time I was completely fine.
Over the years I had worked on the physical and technical side of things which was really positive but I needed to try something more on the thought and emotion side. I had two sessions with Nakul and the outcome has been completely worth it – absolute value. Nakul has a wise aura about him – he’s very warm and encouraging. And I really appreciated his keeping in touch with me after the sessions – his suggestions made me feel supported.
It’s made a big difference being able to unpick the fear and understand it, and create new thought patterns. Before it was “oh, no – what if it happens?” whereas now I’m consciously generating different thoughts and there isn’t room for that other stuff. Having a mechanism to choose a different path has been really powerful. Nakul gave me a reframe for what I was projecting.
We also worked on bringing a more conscious level of comfort into my playing. All my life as a violinist I’ve strived to be comfortable and free but these techniques have given me a way to create that more powerfully. Without a doubt it’s because of work on the unconscious side. There was fear that I wasn’t able to get beyond – but I have now.
Even though the body language aspect is something I’ve always understood, it was so helpful to be encouraged to go further with things like that. One exercise made me realise that making connections between me and the audience, and also my colleagues, is really important. I understand what I lose when I’m not connected or not in control. Consciously projecting that act of connecting has been very powerful.
As a performer I have always thought of myself as physically aware and aware of my thoughts which is why it has been quite surprising how much the sub-conscious aspect needed to be dealt with. That has allowed me to let go whereas before I couldn’t really. It’s a very fine difference I’m sure but the outcome feels hugely different.
This is a process that’s hugely valuable for anyone to unlock their potential in life. A tool for instigating long-lasting, positive change in your life. The process of putting all these ideas into play has been really fun and rewarding. Now I’m enjoying playing so much more. I would have said I was enjoying playing before but I now enjoy it on a much more liberating level. It’s very exciting!

I had been struggling to lose weight. It felt like I had been yo-yo dieting pretty much forever. I would set myself a goal to lose weight but kept stumbling by eating sweet things or having more than I should, and then feeling guilty.
I tried meal replacement programs, low carb diets – that sort of thing. They did give me results but once I’d reached my goal old habits crept back in. I hadn’t learned the principles of how to maintain things and make sure the work I had put in would stick.
I’d heard about NLP for weight loss and decided I had nothing to lose by giving it a shot. I wondered how much I’d have to put into it and if it would actually make a difference for me. It almost sounded too good to be true because I’d tried so many things in the past that were so hard. But when I started getting into it I was pleasantly surprised.
With NLP you’re relaxed but very much aware of the process you’re going through. The questions weren’t intimidating and it wasn’t hard. It was quite a cool experience – empowering you to find the obstacles and how to get where you want to go.
It’s simple yet powerful. Nakul is not trying to hypnotise you or brainwash you but when he encourages you to go into those places, something just “clicks.” I had a lightbulb moment a few sessions in and I just thought “Wow!” And, “I can actually do this!” Without using willpower or trying to control my portions. It’s taken away the emotional hook into the food – and that is huge. I learned how to manage my own thinking, attitude and relationship toward food before I could get to my goal.
It’s been a few years since I had the sessions with Nakul but to this day I still think about the principles and techniques I learned. I had four sessions and it’s definitely been worth it. It’s given me really good results – I’m very happy and in the future I’d like to work with Nakul again in another area. NLP is a growing trend but getting someone trustworthy is important.
I used to think about food all the time. Now I can focus on other things that are more important. It’s very encouraging to have those tools in your pocket… it’s empowered me to make better choices.

Pain Management & Career Goal Setting
I broke my ankle and needed an operation. Being in plaster for 8 weeks gave me lots of time to think. I decided I needed to get control of my life again and figure out where I wanted to go because I was just coming out of the haze you get after you’ve had children. So I went to see Nakul to get help with my goals and the recovery process.
I wasn’t sure about the expense and whether it would be worth the investment. Initially I was just going to do one or two sessions but it really did help so I continued. I knew it was actually working for me and it was a huge relief to find a solution.
I was in a lot of pain with my ankle and conventional medicine wasn’t working for the nerve pain. Nakul taught me some pain management techniques and it definitely helped my peace of mind to have techniques I could use when I was in pain and struggling. The alternative would have been to go back for more surgery but I didn’t want to do that. So I started using the techniques he taught me every day and the nerve pain calmed down.
The pain issue was a huge thing for me. I’d never had an injury like that before and it was hard for me to be incapacitated. Originally the doctors were saying it would take a year before I was back to normal but it only took 6 months and I think part of that was seeing Nakul. I was skeptical to begin with but I would definitely recommend it as an alternative to conventional stuff.
With my career I know now that I can do it. I’ve got the tools I need to make the changes I want to make. Every time I doubt myself I think back to some of the things Nakul taught me and I think, “No, I can do it. I just need to keep going in the direction I want to go in.” It’s very easy to doubt yourself but part of NLP is not doubting yourself. It’s about teaching you new ways of thinking about things.
It’s not like therapy where you have to go back over the old stuff in minute detail and heal what has happened to you. Nakul looks at what you want to do now and in the future and focuses more on that. I find that quite refreshing. It’s a more positive approach. The focus is more about, “Well this is what we want to achieve so this is what we’re going to do about it.”
You have to be willing to change. Nakul teaches you lots of techniques and tools. It becomes a habit and I still do those things he taught me everyday. I’m a lot calmer. I was getting frustrated and feeling overwhelmed and we worked on overcoming that feeling and being more in control of my life. I feel a lot more empowered to make changes in my life.
I value Nakul’s experience. He knows what he’s doing and I trust him. There’s a lot of people you go to and you think, “I’m not sure.” With Nakul you always feel confident in his knowledge and confident that he’s got your best interests at heart. He’s just a nice, calm person. You go there with all these things going around in your head and you come out feeling so relaxed and happy.
Lots of things have changed and all for the good – I’m not sure Nakul realises what a difference it’s made to my life.
– Sophie, Nov 2015
Sometimes we strive for change in our lives but seem to run into the same walls and fail to get the results we want. For me the issue was my own mindset and beliefs. Working with Nakul it was incredible how quickly he was able to rewire my brain to break through the wall.
– Richard Foulkes, director, We-Integrate Ltd.
Nakul has a very structured approach to coaching, but allows for flexibility within the session. Coaching has helped me change my outlook on my career, and has helped to make some key decisions in my life. I like being able to be in control of my thoughts.
The overall level of service was above my expectations, and what worked for me best was being able to talk to a neutral person in a safe environment. Thanks for a great experience!
– KM, Auckland
I liked his approach, very conversational but focussed. He probed at the right time and asked the right questions. He never lost sight of the objectives of the sessions or the thread of the conversation.I found him easy to work with.
Coaching has reminded me of tools I can use. It has helped me cope better with my current job and given me tools to explore other opportunities. Coaching has helped me connect with my values so that I can ensure the next role meets those values.
What worked best for me about coaching was having someone objective and asking the right questions that make me delve deeper into what I want. Someone to help clarify my goals.
I enjoyed the NLP coaching experience. Thanks Nakul

Great! A deep change has occurred in me. Thanks to NLP & Nakul. In the past I had spend most of my time worrying and thinking about negative things, but now I have started to look at all the challenges around me in a positive & confident way, before NLP I would overreact to everything around me with a negative aspect and after Nakul’s help & tools I feel have turned into a new confident positive person.

Even though I only had one session of NLP, the light bulbs that went off in my head during and after that session gave me some keys to unlock things that had been hidden for my whole life.
I have been to counsellors, therapists, nutritionists, weight management specialists for the past 20 years and have never been able to get to the source of my problem. I have been exposed to significant trauma and stress in the past 20 years and have used food and smoking to deal with things. The one NLP session showed me how I react to and manage events in my life. Since the session I have been more conscious of how I choose to deal with things. I chose to live a healthier lifestyle and be in charge of my own choices. To do this I needed to give up smoking. It was important to me to live a healthier lifestyle and commit to exercising every day. The day I started a high intensity exercise programme with a personal trainer is the day I stopped smoking. I haven’t used any patches, gum, pills or replacement therapy. I just stopped.
I was using smoking as a way to avoid things that were causing me stress. Now, I recognise the situation and I address it and deal with it instead of avoiding it or making excuses.
NLP gave me the insight to make changes for myself. Thanks Nakul.

Competing in the sport of Crossfit, each workout takes up every ounce of energy you have left in your system. With the nerves and pressure leading up to a competition, I found I was expelling all my energy in stress before the event had even begun. Using some simple NLP anchor techniques Nakul taught me, I was able to quickly and easily relax myself, control my breathing and enter the competition in a better mindset than I had previously. Thanks Nakul!
– Michael Richardson, IT project manager, UK
Before my daughter (12 yrs) met Nakul she had difficulty sleeping throughout the night in her own room. She always feared robbers would break into the house in the night. She’d cry and not allow me to leave the room till she had fallen asleep. I spoke to friends for ideas, read up on the internet, we tried a lot of calming techniques – talking/reading to her at bedtime, music, night lamp etc but nothing seemed to work. We were worried and frustrated. Invariably she would end up in our bed nearly every night.
After her first session with Nakul, things improved dramatically. She was much more confident and started sleeping throughout the night. Max twice a week she would come into our bed at night. This was a great relief! After her second session, she was happily going to bed by herself and nowadays she occasionally requests me to sleep with her. There has been such a drastic improvement and I am very grateful to Nakul. Nakul has an amazing way of dealing with kids. My daughter was very comfortable talking to him about her fears. I would highly recommend him. Thanks so much Nakul!

– Karen Ross, Fresh Ways Forward
I wanted to be more productive, confident and increase my resilience. The change (session) met my goal and the experience was enjoyable. Nakul did a great job in making me feel relaxed.
– MG, information systems, Auckland
I went to Nakul for an NLP session as I wanted to work on my confidence levels, relax, stop the voices in my head that always held me back from achieving things. The session was amazing and helped me immensely. Nakul made me feel at ease and was very easy to open up and discuss the issues. I was given some great practical tips that are very easy to apply in my day to day life. At the end of the session I felt free and realised that the only person that was holding me back was me. I couldn’t believe how quickly everything worked out for me. Would highly recommend Nakul to anyone. The session made a huge difference and I approach things with no fear. Thank you Nakul.
– Process analyst, Auckland
Last year I approached Nakul for a session to overcome my lack of confidence & feeling of nervousness in a supervised exam. He helped me to highlight the key issues which were bothering me & helped me to overcome them by setting of an anchor. Thanks to him I passed my exam successfully!

After having been used to eating chocolate after dinner for years and being unable to give it up-it really was a sort of addiction. It wasn’t just the one piece either… there was just no finish line. After a couple of sessions with Nakul, it was possible to educate my brain in a different way, the response to the stimulus of after dinner chocolate was no longer the chocolate box but the new alternative that I chose… drinking a glass of water. It soon became a habit for me, after a few times of working on this craving with the new and improved way of thinking, I realised that I was making this choice instinctively… the right choice. What a difference this has made, thanks Nakul and NLP for showing me that there is a different way… I just needed to find my way to it.

A few words in a testimonial can’t fully convey how awesome Nakul is. Ask him for my phone number and I’ll tell you.

The workshop gave us time to stop and pause. Nakul took us through a series of apparently simple (and easy to do) exercises which in fact were quite deep and meaningful. It’s given us food for thought and a better realisation of how we work as a team.
A great opportunity to develop your communication skills to improve engagement and individual and team performance. Nakul was well informed and great at facilitating role play.

Had such a great session with Nakul. Very fun approach that will keep you engaged. So much value gained from an hour and half session. Highly recommend for anybody who wants for a change in their life or needs some coaching with their personal or professional life. Guarantee that you will learn at least a thing or two!
– Sophie Wang, Accountant, NexGen Accounting
I’d like to thank Nakul for his workshop here at Pathways which he ran for our team. As a new team coach I was aware that we have a strong team but with different ideas about how we do things. All of them are right, or at least all of them have their weaknesses and strengths. As team coach I wasn’t sure that the team members themselves realised that these different approaches were all valid.
The workshop itself gave us time to stop and pause. This alone was something of value. More than that, Nakul took us through a series of apparently simple (and easy to do) exercises which in fact were quite deep and meaningful. In particular the values exercise, and the exercise around neuro logical levels were appreciated by the team.
It’s given us food for thought, and I’m hoping a better realisation of how we work within the team. I’ve already had someone ask for more information about some of the exercises.
– Adrian Metcalfe, team coach, Pathways Health Ltd
A great opportunity to develop your communication skills to improve engagement and individual and team performance. Nakul was well informed and great at facilitating role play.

I met Nakul at work where he was an expert in his field of process improvement and he coached many people. He also conducted group workshops and I worked with him on a one-to-one basis. He put a lot of hats on.
I really enjoyed his style. He’s engaging and very down to earth. He’ll talk about a principle and bring it to reality by showing a real life example. He’s very skilled when he talks about a subject – very good at explaining concepts and ideas. And the way he structures his workshops and material is good – he gets you to think about things and then apply it.
His delivery style means you’re able to relate to him because a lot of the things he teaches can touch people on a personal level. With Transforming Communications or NLP, Nakul will ask how can this technique help you in your situation not just in your professional life but from a personal point of view as well. in life. He doesn’t force you to open up but being a friendly and personable individual Nakul can put you at ease really fast.
Nakul is an effective coach, non-judgemental and is very good at understanding your issues and where you come from. I would highly recommend him.
– J Palmer, November 2015
I enjoyed Nakul’s teaching method, kept me engaged and got me thinking. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to gain better tools to deal with problem solving, or just to better understand their communication style. Thank you!

An interesting course that gives you insights into open forms of communication that allows for easier interpretation of statements.

I learnt that we have a choice how (when) we enter every communication in our lives. Nakul demonstrated the skills while teaching it with entertaining, engaging examples. I am sure I will be able to enhance my communications by using these skills.

Nakul is an excellent instructor/facilitator. I enjoyed the course over 3 days and feel I have more tools in my tool box. The course provides certain, specific skills for personal development and can be used in everyday life.

Very useful, introduces a new concept of communication, very good delivery. It will broaden your understanding of communication and give you tools to diagnose before prescribing a solution (or) solving the problem.

First class, very engaging & highly useful. Excellent presenting, great food. Good fun & meaningful exercises. Consolidation & understanding of NLP concepts, having them ‘fleshed’ out, being able to ask some questions first hand.

We had a session at work with Nakul the other day. It was full of laughter and fun, but still gained very important communication skills. I strongly recommend to try this with your work colleagues or friends. You will find it very beneficial. yes! yes! yes!
